Hike
in the Great Otway National Park & along the Surf Coast Walk
|
From 2 hours to a full day, join local guides to
learn about our native animals and plants, Aboriginal bushfoods
and the natural & human pressures that affect the landscape.
The Great Otway National Park has plenty of great walking tracks
that lead through heathlands, eucalypt forests, temperate rainforest,
beaches, rivers and cliff tops.
Perhaps we can lead your group on a walk from camp to the beach,
learning about traditional bushfoods and medicine plants along the
way. We can also talk about Anglesea’s dramatic Alcoa coal
mine from a lookout, look for signs and traces of native animals,
discuss human impacts and land management, and talk about our Indigenous
people’s involvement with the land.
Bushwalks will be tailored to you group’s abilities, timeframe,
accommodation, and content requirements and may be used to link
your other camp activities. Save money and resources by walking,
instead of taking the bus! |

acquired a trailer and tools, and designed a program that involves
tree planting, brush matting, weeding and site maintenance, while
enjoying Surf Coast sites and meeting curriculum goals.
